Day 01: Arrival at Paro (2,250m)
Upon your arrival at Paro International Airport, our representative will warmly welcome you and assist with your transfer to the hotel. After check-in and some time to relax, begin exploring the beautiful Paro Valley.
Visit Rinpung Dzong, one of Bhutan's most important fortress monasteries, admired for its traditional Bhutanese architecture and rich Buddhist heritage. Walk across the historic wooden cantilever bridge before continuing to Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest and most sacred temples in Bhutan.
Later, visit Drukgyel Dzong, a historic fortress built in 1649 to commemorate Bhutan's victory over Tibetan invaders. The site also offers beautiful views of Mount Jomolhari (7,326m), one of Bhutan's highest Himalayan peaks.
Spend the evening exploring Paro town, browsing local handicraft shops, visiting cafés, or simply enjoying the peaceful surroundings before your overnight stay in Paro.
Day 02: Tiger's Nest Monastery Hike and Drive from Paro to Thimphu (2,350m) | 54 km | Approx. 2 Hours
After breakfast, begin the hike to Paro Taktsang, popularly known as Tiger's Nest Monastery. Perched on a cliff about 900 metres above Paro Valley, it is Bhutan's most recognised monastery and one of the country's most important Buddhist pilgrimage sites.
According to Buddhist tradition, Guru Rinpoche meditated here in the 8th century after arriving on the back of a flying tigress. The hike offers spectacular views of Paro Valley while providing an opportunity to experience Bhutan's spiritual heritage.
After descending, enjoy lunch before driving to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan.
Spend the evening exploring Thimphu town, browsing local handicraft shops, visiting cafés, or enjoying the relaxed atmosphere before your overnight stay in Thimphu.
Day 03: Sightseeing in Thimphu
After breakfast, enjoy a full day exploring Bhutan's capital city.
Visit the National Memorial Chorten, an important Buddhist monument where local residents gather daily for prayers. Continue to Buddha Dordenma at Buddha Point, one of the world's largest seated Buddha statues, offering panoramic views of Thimphu Valley.
Later, visit the Motithang Takin Preserve, home to Bhutan's national animal. Continue your sightseeing with visits to the National Library, the National Institute of Traditional Medicine, the Textile Museum, the Traditional Handmade Paper Factory and the Handicrafts Emporium to learn more about Bhutan's rich cultural heritage and traditional craftsmanship.
Conclude the day's sightseeing with a visit to Tashichho Dzong, the administrative and religious centre of Bhutan, before returning to your hotel for an overnight stay in Thimphu.
Day 04: Excursion to Punakha via Dochula Pass (3,050m) | 75 km One Way | Approx. 2.5 Hours
After breakfast, drive to Punakha via Dochula Pass, one of Bhutan's most scenic mountain passes. Visit the famous 108 Druk Wangyal Chortens before continuing your journey through the picturesque Himalayan landscape.
Continue to Punakha Dzong, built in 1637 at the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers. It is one of Bhutan's most significant religious and historical landmarks.
After lunch, enjoy a pleasant walk through the countryside to Chimi Lhakhang, also known as the Fertility Temple, dedicated to Lama Drukpa Kunley, widely known as the Divine Madman.
Later, drive back to Thimphu and spend the evening at leisure before your overnight stay in Thimphu.
Day 05: Departure from Thimphu to Paro Airport | 54 km | Approx. 2 Hours
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and drive to Paro International Airport for your onward flight.
