Day 01: Njp Station / Bagdogra (Ixb) Airport - Phuensholing

Meet & Greet On Arrival At Njp Railway Station / Ixb Airport & Transfer To Phuentsholing - The Gateway Of Bhutan By Road From India. Phuensholing Is A Small Border Town With A Small Beautiful Market In Vincinity. Feel Free To Explore On Your Own And Get Ready For The Beautiful Himalayan Drive To Thimpu Next Day.

Day 02: Phuentsholing - Thimpu

After Breakfast, Head To Immegration Office To Complete The Formalities. Although, Indians Do Not Require Visa, But An Entry Permit Is Needed To Enter Bhutan. Road Trip From Phuensholing To Thimpu Is Long, Approximately Five To Six Hours, But It Is So Beautiful And Scenic That You Do Not Feel The Stress. There Are Plently Of Stops Along The Way To Stretch Your Legs And Get Something To Eat. Check Into Hotel And Relax. You Can Also Take An Orientation Walk Into Town Before Dinner.

Day 03: Thimphu Sightseeing

After Breakfast, Start Your Day Early And Leave For Trashicho Dzong Also Known As The Fortress Of The Glorious Religion. The Dzong Is The Home Of The Main Secretariat Of The Government. The Throne Of His Majesty, The King Of Bhutan, Is Situated Here. Now You'll Proceed Towards Changankha Monastery, The Radio Tower Which Is One Of Bhutan's Tallest Buildings. Now You Will Be Driven To Visit The King's Memorial. The King's Memorial Was Built In Memory Of The Third King Of Bhutan Who Reigned For Three Decades From 1952-1972. After Paying Your Tribute To The King, You Will Visit, The National Library Of Bhutan Which Houses Some Of The World's Most Rare And Ancient Religious Manuscripts. Your Day Will End With A Visit To Bhuddha Point It Is One Of The Most Happening Points In Thimphu. You Can Get A Good Overview Of The Thimphu Valley From The Buddha Point. The 51.5 Meter Bronze Statue Is Three Storied With Several Chapels. One Can Offer Prayers To Buddha, Walk Around And Take A Glimpse Of The Valley. Overnight Stay And Dinner Will Be At The Hotel.

Day 04: Thimphu - Paro

After Breakfast, Head For Dhachu La Pass, The Highest Pass Connecting Thimphu To Punakha Valley. With 108 Chortens Set In A Circular Formation Against Majestic Mountains, The Pass Is Both Spiritual As Well As Picturseque. After This Well Proceed Towards Paro And Check Into The Hotel. After Lunch You'll Visit National Museum, Housed In An Old Watchtower Near The Rinpung Dzong. Go Back In Time And Witness Centuries Old Collection Of Thangkas, Old Statues And Other Artifacts. A Short Walk Takes Us To Rinpung Dzong. Perched On A Hillside Overlooking The Town, This Centuries Old Fortress Is Now The Administrative And Religious Center Of The Paro Region. Enjoy A Free Evening To Relax Or Explore Paro On Your Own.

Day 05: Paro Sightseeing

After Breakfast You Are All Set To Visit One Of The Most Holy Places Which Every Bhutanese Should Visit Once In Their Lifetime, Set Out On A Steep Hike Of 5-6 Hours To Taktsang Palphug Monastery, Also Known As Tigers Nest. It Clings To A Vertical Granite Cliff Nearly 3,000 Feet Above The Valley Floor. Take A Deep Breath, Relax And Trek At Your Own Pace. The Beginning Is Like A Walk In The Woods. Approximately 1/2 Of The Way Up There Is A Cafeteria Where You Can Stop For A Snack, Bathroom, Rest. Throughout The Way You Are Rewarded With Some Amazing Views. After This Spritual Treat If Time And Energy Permits You'll Be Visiting Drukgyal Dzong A Fortress And Buddhist Monastery, Now In Ruins, Located In The Upper Part Of The Paro. The Dzong Was Probably Built In 1649 To Commemorate Victory Over An Invasion From Tibet. Drive Back To Your Hotel, Evening Is Free To Explore Paro On Your Own.

Day 06: Paro – Phuensholing

After Breakfast, Drive Up To Chele La (12,500 Feet), A Mountain Pass Connecting Haa Valley. Watch Out For Tiny Wild Strawberries That Carpet The Forest As You Drive Up To Chele La. On A Clear Day One Can See The Sacred Peak Of Jhomolhari And The Haa Valley Itself. After Spending Some Time There You'll Start A Long Drive To Phuensholing, Check Into The Hotel And Rest.

Day 07: Phuensholing - Njp Station / Bagdogra (Ixb) Airport

After Breakfast, Leave For Njp. The Trip Ends Here.
